Formal Banquet

Hello all! I have now posted this on BOTH websites, but figured I would send it over the listserve to inform all the people that may or may not check their chapter website (which they should)! Anyway on to business:

René and I met with the people at Sweetwater to discuss banquet plans. At this point René and I are really positive about this location and everything that goes with it. We would like to have a formal banquet, including dinner. The cost would be $20 a ticket to help off-set the total expense.

We would have the banquet hall for 3-4 hours. There would be a nice table setting with dress linens for dinner and a dance floor. Bread and butter would be on the tables. Salad would be served, and the rest of dinner would be buffet style. There would be a chicken dish, pasta dish, vegetable, an assortment desserts, and coffee, iced tea and water.

The potential date is Friday April 24th, 6ish-10:30pm
***April 24th is the ONLY date for this location.***

If we change the date we will start over from square one, and more than likely prices will go up.

Also, the banquet isn't happening until the evening and will be over by 10:30pm, probably closer to 10:00pm. (since we have to be out of there by 10:30pm since it is a bed and breakfast inn and they have a big wedding the next day.)

I understand about finals, I missed the banquet last year because I needed to attend a study session that night.
April 24th is the second reading day and the banquets I've attended in the past have been on or around the same time. I don't want to sound like I'm not flexible, but this is the best plan and price we've found and if it works for the majority of the people, we will keep this date.

This brings me to the important part... if you all could please let me or René know how interested you are, and if you would be bringing an outside date. René and I are really excited to be planning a formal banquet and the sooner we book a place, the better the banquet will be!!!
